Content Creation Winstone 2000 is a product released from ZDNet. It is a free download of you can pay $5 to have many of the programs shipped to you on CD. What’s different about CCW is that is a test that has pertinence to the everyday work world. Going through tests using several of today’s top desktop-publishing software, including Adobe’s Photoshop and Premiere, Macromedia’s Director and Dreamweaver, Netscape Navigator and Sonic Foundry’s Sound Forge program. Using these programs and their features, the CCW2000 tests give you a good picture of the overall performance of the processor/system for business or home office PC.
The results show a lead by the Thunderbird processor, but again we don’t see any extreme difference’s between the two processors. For those people who do mainly non-gaming related work, this test should be factored in heavily towards your decision. A difference of only 0.3 points on this test is fairly good consider the cost effectiveness of the Duron processors.
