On to the benchmarks:
| CPU | AMD Athlon Thunderbird 900 MHz |
| Memory | 1 x 128 PC133 CAS2 Mushkin |
| Hard Drive | 20.5 GB Western Digital 7200 RPM |
| Video Card | Hercules 3D Prophet II 64MB (GeForce 2 GTS) |
| Video Drivers | Detonator 5.30 |
| Operating System | Win 98 SE |
| Revision | 1.0 |
| Content Creation Winstone 2000 | |
| Thunderbird 900 on K7T Pro | 31.5 |
| Thunderbird 900 on Asus A7V | 32.0 |
| Thunderbird 900 on FIC AZ11 | 31.2 |
As I mentioned before the benchmarks were shown, if AMD has taken the steps to prevent simple overclocking of the multiplier (and I believe they will), then the advantages of have an A7V will become obsolete. The numbers clearly show that MSI K7T Pro motherboard can hold its own in a testing environment or situation. If you don’t have a desire to overclock, or have a processor that is already locked by AMD and unable to be easily modified, this motherboard should definitely be on your “Compare” list.
