Above illustrates the remarkable results of just two hard drives connected to one of the two SCSI channels on the ExpressPCI. Note that none of Adaptec’s RAID offerings even came close to the mentioned numbers. Actually, the ExpressPCI RAID nearly doubled the Adaptec Decade, Century, and 2100S’ numbers using the exact same configuration.

Above records the HD Tach results including advanced size check. Over 60mbps and an average of over 50mbps. Referencing the sequential speed really shows off the brutal power of Seagate’s X15. This score more than doubled Adaptec’s 2100S.

Above lists the HD Tach with advanced size check turned off. Notice that the average read speed still exceeds over 54mbps. Again, this score more than doubled Adaptec’s 2100S.
