Clearly, there is a new cowboy in town and its not Adaptec. Many of you including myself have spend many horrifying nights on line with technical support, reading newsgroups, upgrading firmware, re-installing operating systems, changing configurations, etc, to only watch our $500-$1000 RAID investment turn into nothing more than a money pit. I have personally invested thousands of dollars in RAID controllers to only find myself disappointed and consequently, selling them for a fraction of the cost for which I paid. I have exhausted overwhelming amounts of time with DPT and Adaptec’s technical support; who ultimately, has left me more frustrated than before.Using ATTO’s ExpressPCI UL3D RAID Kit has been a pleasure from the start. Its performance is fantastic, and the customer service is top-notch. From the sales staff to the technical engineers, ATTO has exhibited themselves as professionals. It took less than seventy-two hours to telephone ATTO, introduce myself, fill out the paperwork, and ultimately receive the UL3D for review. The technical information I received from ATTO was right on the mark. They literally predicted the expected level of performance to be obtained by using two hard drives.
Currently the ATTO ExpressPCI UL3D RAID Kit can be acquired from one of ATTO’s partners for approximately $438.00. For this level of performance, one should expect to pay much more. If you are looking for a high performance cross-platform RAID solution, there is simply nothing that compares to ATTO’s performance/price ratio. With this said, I have no reservation but to present ATTO with a perfect:
