Neither of these tests showed a great increase in the performance with a DDR platforum underneath them. While I 100% expected this in FPU Mark, CPU Mark could have shown a slightly better increase in score. The overclocked Duron out does them both, as per ususal, but the Athlon 1.33 GHz, here just for comparison sake, soars above all.

Fianlly an increase worth mentioning on the DDR & Duron combo. While .120 points may not seem that dramatic, it is on the Light 04 test. The enhanced DDR memory throughput helps push the Duron farther. However it appears that nothing can really top the extra MHz you get in overclocking for buying a faster CPU.

I ran these tests on the Duron several times to make sure they were accurate. It looks like the increase in speed vs. the increase in DDR SDRAM worked out to be the same. This could be a point in favor of getting a DDR-based system in with your Duron processor.
