QIII Demo1 and Demo2Now it’s time for the meat and potatoes part of the tests. I ran QIII Demo1 and Demo2 at 3 different configurations with multiple resolutions. The QIII test is widely used as a standard for testing. To perform this test I have a great utility that does it all. Below are the results of these tests.

Overclocking did help the frame rates with both processors. Each gained 5-10 FPS depending on the configuration. Due to the overclocking setup of the Bios the Duron was running @ 856mhz and the memory was running @ 142mhz. The 5 FPS gained with overclocking the Duron mostly came due to the memories ability to handle the 142mhz FSB. The T-Bird also shows some really nice frame rates. With the 1.2ghz running @ 1278mhz and the memory @ 142mhz On average this gained us 8-10 FPS. With either setup the game is very playable.
