It would seem that AMD is in the habit of releasing slews of products at the same time. While consumers are surely not complaining, my keyboard is! 🙂 Today we will take a look at the two latest launched processors. No, I am not talking about the Athlon MP ( that was in yesterday’s articles ) but instead about the Athlon 1.4 GHz and Duron 950 MHz processors.

Stepping above the current ceiling of AMD CPUs, the Athlon 1.4 GHz is here to topple more benchmarks and to become the reigning high-performance king in the desktop PC market. The new Duron, stepping up the faster of this series by 50 MHz, will offer low cost speed and processing power for OEMs and end users.

I decided to combine these two processor reviews, simply because of the launch day. Also, this saves me a bit of typing, yet still shows the same information to all of you!
