All of these tests show very close results between not just the KT266 boards but all three competing AMD DDR motherboards. With the exception of the medical CAD test, the results are within a single percentage point of each other.

Cachemem has been known to tell a different story than the SiSoft Sandra memory tests, and it does here. It shows that the AK31 and the Soyo Dragon are much closer in speed of memory reading and writing the SiSoft tests. Do note that the AMD760 chipset is still a far leap ahead in writing RAM speed tests.

Again, the KT266 chipset motherboards are beating the AMD760 chipset here in this test. The Shuttle AK31 takes the overall winner, with the Soyo Dragon close on its heals. The Epox 8K7A does admirably well, but still finds itself in a third place, being beaten by less than 1%.
