The Athlon XP 1800+ has a nice gain on the Athlon 1.4 GHz and the Duron 1.1 GHz here. There is about a 12% increase in frames per second here, and more than 29% over the Duron processor. The power of the new and faster Athlon XP is already giving a good show.
As the power of the GeForce is becoming more and more important in the results here, the XP’s advantage over the 1.4 GHz Thunderbird decreases a bit to 11%. That is still a significant and noticeable amount of change, though. The Duron is still too far back to be competitive here because of its frequency and 100 MHz system bus.
Nothing to say here except this is a pure video card bottleneck. The Duron falls behind due to its 33/66 MHz bus difference.
