The 1.1 GHz Duron shows a 3-4% gain over the 1.0 GHz Duron while still being about 12% behind the Athlon system. Again, I hate to sound repetitive, but at 100 MHz FSB, the Duron is still doing very well against a 300 MHz faster processor.
Now we see why the previous (and upcoming) benchmarks show such a difference between the Duron 1.0 and 1.1 GHz an the Athlon 1.4 GHz. Since the Durons are limited to 100 MHz FSB and memory bus (unless you overclock), their memory performance leaves something to be desired. While only 10% behind the Athlon in ALU count, they both fall 25% behind in FPU memory performance.
As these numbers are based purely on the CPU core themselves, they scale pretty much as expected. At a 10% difference between the 1.0 and 1.1 GHz Durons, the math scales nearly exact to get the scores of the 1.4 GHz Athlon processor setup.
