Arkua ThermoTurbo 6228Arkua’s version of the reborn ThermoEngine HSF is delivered with the Delta 37.6 CFM fan that produces 46.5 dBA’s and is definitely aimed at the Overclockers and Power-Users in our midst and perform it does!!!

For such a high performance cooler we have grown to expect considerable size and weight, this is not the case with the ThermoTurbo. It weighs in at a mere 311 grams and that includes the weight of the fan. The overall dimensions including the fan are 64L x 64W x 76H mm which means that it should be compatible with the majority of today’s motherboards.

The Arkua ThermoTurbo 6228 is available from your favorite reseller and dealers in the UK and Europe can contact www.lapicon.co.uk for details.
The next photo displays the heart of the Arkua 6228, its round copper core that is both smooth and flat.
How did the Arkua XC60-4225 perform??? The numbers below indicate that it did not dethrone our current champion, but it did come oh so very close!!!

Vantec CCK-6035D
Vantec has produced a Copper HSF using thin fin technology covered on three sides by an anodized aluminum shroud. To call them fins, might be stretching the term, they are more like individual plates, being the same throughout. There are 17 plates on each side of the clip for a total of 34 which gives the CCK-6035D an enormous surface area.

The CCK-6035D has been designed to fit the great majority of motherboards without any difficulty (I haven’t found one it didn’t fit). The unit weighs in at only 386 grams while the dimensions are 78 x 64 x 64 mm which included the stock 60 mm Delta 37.6 cfm Delta fan. The unit sits firmly on the CPU thanks to its well designed clip and I was only able to move the heatsink slightly once it was attached.
The CCK-6035D is truly a high performance cooler that delivers on its promise, to cool your hot CPU for a modest investment. You can purchase the Vantec CCK-6035D at www.kdcomputers.com for only $29.95 USD.
Let’s look at how it performed:
