Both of the KT266A boards come ahead of the Gigabyte 7DX board and in fact the Epox board beats the Shuttle AK31 in almost all the tests. With the differences in between the two competing chipset boards so close, it is very possible that more bios tweaking by the user or by the manufacturer could tip the balance in the other direction.

Once again, just like in the SiSoft memory tests, I am putting the Cachemem scores of the AMD-760 beating the KT266A down to bios/processor incompatibilities. It is interesting to note that the Shuttle board beats the Epox board here, even though it was behind on the SiSoft results.

Again the Shuttle AK31 Rev3 is the winner by a slight margin. The 7DX isn’t far behind though using the newer Athlon XP processor.
