The Geforce 3 Ti500 definitely does the business, and for someone who wants to upgrade from a Geforce 2 Pro, you will definitely appreciate the performance increase, especially in games like Max Payne where you need all the performance you can get your hands on. But if you already have a Geforce 3 and are looking to upgrade you wont notice a big increase unless you are only interested in the numbers, personally if I was in that position I would wait until the NV25 is released; especially if image quality is your thing, I’m not saying the image quality is bad on the Ti500, actually it is very good but the NV25 will handle antialiasing much better and with even more bandwidth and processing power, so you wont need to compromise on image quality to get to those insane frame rates. Due to the length of time that it takes to develop games these days, it will be some time before we start to see the implementation of the two new features that come with the XP detonators, but that’s to be expected as we saw this when the Geforce 3 came out.

Overall I was very impressed with the performance of the Nvidia Geforce 3 Ti500, with the added bandwidth and processing speed it managed to beat the Geforce 3 quite considerably and considering the difference in price between the standard GeForce 3 and the Ti500 is so small, I would defernately recommend the Ti500 to anyone who is looking to upgrade to a high performance graphics card.
