What can be said about the Iwill XP333 motherboard at the end of that long review?First, there is no denying that the Iwill XP333 motherboard is the slowest of the three motherboards tested here. In fact, the Iwill XP333 motherboard is probably slower than nearly all the KT266A motherboards and all the nForce motherboards. This then leads us to discuss by how much? In the majority of the benchmarks we saw here, there was less than 5% difference in the speed of the XP333, the Shuttle AK31 Rev3 and the NVIDIA nForce Reference Board. That kind of speed difference is right on the edge of something that I would call “worthy of notice.” Some people would never notice the difference but there are some that want the best of the best, all the time.
Where the Iwill XP333 does come out on top is in the features and overclocking department. The RAID model of the board offers nearly all the options you have seen on any other motherboard of any chipset. The only exception would be the USB 2.0 that you can find on the MSI K7T266 Pro2-RU. As for overclocking, the XP333 has all the features you are used to seeing on the Epox and Abit boards as well as a couple new options that might intrigue you. The dividers are a feature not seen officially anywhere else before. The added voltage you get with the “10% Vcore” option will also come in quite handy when pushing your processors to their limits.
The price of the Iwill XP333 starts at about $110 and you can pick up the RAID version for $20 more. That puts it right in the middle of the KT266A price range, but below the currently available nForce boards.
The final decision on whether or not to purchase the XP333 motherboard will be weighed on its features, speed and price — and a judgement call on your part. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed by the performance or options the Iwill XP333 offers if you do decide to go that route. Iwill has once again produced a quality motherboard that PC enthusiasts will surely fall in love with.
