DronezMark and Wolfenstein MP

The DirectX 8 heavy test, DronezMark, shows that even when running in 640×480 resolution, there are game engines that are over powering the top video cards of the day. While these tests were not run with a Ti500 card, a regular GeForce 3 was used.
This Wolfenstein demo, from Anandtech, is much more video card oriented than system oriented. However, the MSI nForce motherboard is still beaten by the KT266A chipset Soyo Dragon Plus by about 5% in each resolution.
Surprisingly, using this demo, also from Anandtech, we see the gap widen between the two motherboards. Here in the lower 640×480 resolution, there is almost a 10% gap in performance. In the 1024×768 resolution, that is lowered to 7%. I usually put 5% at about the cut off point where the performance is noticeable and in the Wolfenstein tests, this threshold is exceeded.
