With the new MPX chipset and some more tweaking done by the engineers at Tyan, the Thunder K7X motherboard is able to beat out its little brother the Tiger MPX and the competing MSI motherboard. The differences are slight though, coming in at only around 3%.

The K7X wins this one again by a small margin. However, the scores here are much better than in the single processor tests we have seen. It is in the synthetic tests such as these that we can see the potential the dual-Athlon platform holds.
