In continuation of the series of innovative and interesting computer enclosures, I bring you the review of the Chieftec AH-01SL Aluminum Midtower Case provided by Directron. As some of you may already have seen my Antec case review 4 months ago, you will easily recognize the mechanical structure of this case. One downfall of that case was its weight. Being made of steel in a full tower adds to the weight tremendously. This Chieftec midtower case is primarily made of aluminum, making it very light weight and great for a LAN party rig.
The Chieftec is a midtower case so it’s not quite as roomy as a full tower case, but still plenty of room for most of your goodies while still providing good cooling for your AMD system. Here are the specs that Directron put together for this case.

The detailed specs of this case are hard to mess up and I didn’t find any discrepancies with them at all. Being as this is a no frills Aluminum case, it was kind of hard to mess them up when no fans or power supply are shipped with them. But at $59 for a good aluminum case, it’s hard to complain with the price compared to other aluminum cases. Now let’s move onto the graphical portion of this review.
