Show Floor and LAN

The BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) floor was a very impressive site. Seeing 1100 computers and monitors up and running in the same room is quite awe-inspiring. I was told that the local fire department actually made the convention center turn the lights down to avoid excess power consumption! 🙂 Anyway, here are few pics of the BYOC for those of you who would like to see.

ATI had a nice booth on the premises with big screen TVs playing movies off the ATI All-in-Wonder cards as well as a couple of modified case sporting the 9700 PRO video cards. Oh, and did I mention that ATI provided massage therapists for free? 🙂

And here were set up bean bags chairs and TVs for playing console versions of the first-person shooters that were being played in the BYOC.

Ah yes, the Doom III Theater! The 15 minute video that ran was running live off of a Radeon 9700 Pro card and a 2.2 GHz P4. It was a kick ass video and I can’t wait to get my hands on this game!
