3D Mark 2001

While 3DMark2001 is far from the best video card benchmark, it’s an immensely popular and easy way of testing your video card. It takes advantage of a few features found in DirectX 8.0 and 8.1 but isn’t quite up to par in sucking up video card power like some other nasty benchmarks like CodeCreatures can do. However it’s a good all around benchmark, and although it’s getting outdated, it’s still a good indication.

The 9000 so far is the winner; albeit only by a few hundred points in 1024x768x32. The MX440 is getting hammered in this benchmark due to the fact that it can’t run the Nature test.
