System Setup and Benchmarks

The system setup and testing processes were simple, yet tedious. Each motherboard was tested using the exact same processor, exact same video card, exact same hard drive, etc. Each had a full install of Windows XP on it and the same version of the graphics drivers on it.

I chose to continue using the MSI Ti4400 graphics card as it seemed the best representation of what our readers are using in their own systems. Soon, however, I plan on making the switch to a Radeon 9700 bench suite.

Here is system setup table and the benchmarks that we used. The list is somewhat abbreviated for this roundup.
