Quake III: Arena

AMD is now breaching the 300 frames-per-second barrier on the Quake III! In each resolution we see the Athlon XP 2700+ processor beating out the 2.8 GHz P4 processor – though the gap shrinks as we go up the scale on quality. Another thing to watch for in these benchmarks is that, essentially, the 2600+ and 2700+ are running at the same frequency, and what we are seeing is the difference between a 266 MHz FSB and a 333 MHz FSB.
