First, I’d like to put in a plug to the great guys at HardOCP for putting together a great and easy to use UT2K3 benchmarking program to help make this easier for all of us to use. Any time you see a UT2K3 benchmark on this site, you will know it thanks to them! 🙂
Unlike we saw in the Quake III tests, the nForce2 and KT400 boards are very much toe-to-toe with both the Radeon 9700 Pro and MSI Ti 4400 video cards. This is complicating the problems we are seeing: is this just a particular issue with OpenGL’s use of the graphics busses on these different motherboard chipsets? Further tests may shed some light.
