AMD Athlon XP 3000+ Barton Processor Review - Processors 23

This benchmark is used to simulate the results typical of a workstation application including many different types of rendering and graphics applications. In all the tests with exception of the Ugs-01 test, the Athlon XP 3000+ comes out ahead and by a nice margin over both the 2700+ and the P4 systems. It is also interesting to note that again, the Hyper Threading did not seem to have much of a gain for the Intel processor.

AMD Athlon XP 3000+ Barton Processor Review - Processors 24

The ScienceMark test is a simulation of scientific data that requires a lot of processing power. We can see here that the Athlon XP 3000+ is again in the lead by about 3% over the 2700+ and by 8% over the P4 systems.
