The content creation tests are some of the best to showcase the power of the additional cache on the Athlon XP 3000+. Here the 3000+ has a 4.5% or so gain over the 2700+ and is able to push past both of the P4 results. It is interesting to see that in this case (and others throughout the review) the Hyper Threading results to be lower than the non-HT results.
The Athlon processors have always done very well in this test and the Barton core is no exception. Here it has a 5.5% increase over the 2700+ and a sizeable 30% gain over the P4.
