Chaintech’s GeForce FX and the Conclusion

Another big reason for this Chaintech event was the announcement of their redesigned GeForce FX card with an improved cooling system that might appeal to more individuals.

As you can the cooling system is unique. Using a system of cooling vents that vent air in the front of the “top” of the video card and out the rear of it (towards the front of the case) Chaintech is claiming to be able to have met the standards NVIDIA required for cooling this beast and all at the low, low sound cost of 30-35 dB. That is nearly twice as quiet as the 65 dB that the NVIDIA reference cooler is producing.
There is little use going over the features of the card here as the information is already widely available and Amdmb.com will have a review sample of the card very soon. And, as of this writing, the staff of Chaintech was unable to confirm any of the rumors that have been recently spreading about the cancellation of the GeForce FX 5800 Ultra chipsets. I suggest you check out HardOCP for the latest on that information.
Conclusion
Even though the lack of Athlon 64 motherboards left a very empty feeling in the show, I think the Chaintech Evolution Event 2003 did a very good job of showcasing to the vendors of their products and to the media what Chaintech has in store for consumers on every level in which they compete.
I’d like to thank the Chaintech staff for making the trip, and my first out-of-country experience, so enjoyable!
To conclude: Snowmobiles, Beaches, Shakira, Christina, Tsunami!
