This is an interesting picture on the performance of these three chipsets. The nForce2 chipset still has a very noticeable gain on this entire suite of results. However, the KT400A has improved its performance by as much as 30% on some results over the KT400 chipset on the DX-07 test where the nForce2 is nearly the same 30% faster than the KT400A. This is the only benchmark that we are seeing a marked improvement on using dual channel DDR memory.
The retail nForce2 board still has a slight gain here over VIA’s latest chipsets, but not by a large margin.
