AMD Athlon XP 3200+: Enter the 400 MHz FSB - Processors 27

The CPU score results are really based closely to frequency, and thus the 3200+ doesn’t gain much over the 3000+ because they are only separated by 30 MHz or so.

Surprisingly again, the VIA KT600 comes out ahead on the memory test over even the overclocked 3200+ on the nForce2 system. Do notice, however, that the 3000+ with its 333/400 setup is left behind in the dust.

Both the nForce2 and KT600 results are nearly the same on the multimedia test and the overclocked Athlon XP 3200+ runs out ahead. Keep in mind that this is only on a 210 MHz FSB – not much change.

In a more detailed outlook, we can see that the VIA KT600 results are showing a moderate advantage on the memory read cycles and slight deficit on the write cycles.
