The BYOC

The largest area at Quakecon was of course the BYOC (bring your own computer) area where the majority of the gaming occurs. This year, there were slightly over 2000 BYOC spots available for gamers to occupy and over 5500 registered attendees, according the Quakecon staff. The numbers for this year are absolutely astounding! Seeing that many computers, monitors and gamers are having fun in the same room is nothing less than overwhelming. And its because of those gamers that manufacturers like NVIDIA, VIA, AMD and more are trying to get the attention of.
