Gigabyte showed off three separate Athlon 64 motherboards. The first was the VIA board shown here:

Gigabyte was one of the few manufacturers to show Athlon 64 solutions in both 940 and 754 pin solutions. As you know from reading our Athlon 64 FX review, 940-pin motherboards are what you need for the Athlon FX processor.

Jetway

Jetway stood out to me because they didn’t have a VIA chipset board to show me, but instead we have the NVIDIA and SiS chipset motherboards. Jetway doesn’t have any market in the US, so this shouldn’t concern most of you.

MSI had the most Athlon 64 and Opteron solutions to support AMD and their new processors. For server solutions, MSI offered the K8D 1U for 1U server chassis and the K8D Master-F for general server/workstation use.
