The Opteron processor makes a great run on 3D Mark 2001: SE, a DirectX 8.1 based benchmark. Even at default speeds, the Opteron is able to take the P4 scores on both 640×480 and 1024×768 runs. When overclocking the Opteron a bit, we get a score of 17,030 which is by far the fastest I have seen on a default run with stock hardware setups.

The PC Mark 2002 results show the P4 running strong on the CPU results but falling behind on the memory scores, even with the Opteron using DDR333.
