The CPU score from the Synthetic Sandra benchmark shows the inherit advantage of HyperThreading and gives the P4 a slightly inflated score that has a comfortable lead over even the overclocked Opteron processor.

The multimedia score mimics the processor test.

Interesting, Sandra is reporting here that the P4 has a faster theoretical memory subsystem than the Opteron processor, even at DDR400 speeds, and by over 1000 Mb/s. We’ll see what the other memory tests show before passing judgement.
