Aerocool is a name you might not be familiar with.  Aerocool Advanced Technologies was founded in 2001 with headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan and a sales office in Freemont, California.  Their specialty is airflow analysis, heat transfer technologies and efficient designs.

Aerocool’s line of power supplies includes the AeroPower and AeroPower II models ranging in size from 320 watts up to 520 watts.  These units come loaded with extra features like LED fans, sleeved ATX cables, tinted acrylic windows and two or three cooling fans.

Aerocool advertises their AeroPower II PSUs as being coated/plated with titanium to reduce EMI.  Titanium is a hard, lightweight, strong and very expensive metal.  To my knowledge it cannot be electro-plated although it can be vacuum deposited.  Coating a steel enclosure with Titanium to minimize EMI makes no sense to me, especially with the large fan and acrylic window openings.  Whatever the coating is it results in a beautiful finish!  At first glance the AeroPower II appears to be chrome plated, but it is a darker color – more like a smoked chrome finish.  This unit would really look nice in a clear acrylic case.

Each fan contains four integral LEDs, which light up the PSU from the inside.  The two acrylic side windows come in either a blue or green tint depending on what color scheme you select.  Something else worth noting for anyone considering 12 VDC TEC coolers is that the AeroPower 470 watt and 520 watt units provide 28 Amps on the 12V rail.
