Raidtronics
was one of the first power supply manufacturers to come out with an ATX power
supply housed in an aluminum enclosure.
They are sold under different names such as Raidmax and Powmax. The Raidmax PM-S400W 400 watt ATX power
supply is one of their more popular offerings and usually comes in a blue
anodized, extruded aluminum case. They
were also one of the first (if not the first) to use an externally mounted
intake fan on the end opposite the standard ATX exhaust fan.

The
Raidmax 400 is one of the least expensive power supplies in this roundup and it
is by far the lightest in weight. As you
can see in the pictures above there is a lot of empty room inside the enclosure. It will be interesting to see how the
PM-S400W stands up against the competition.
