The numbers here show the strengths of the Athlon 64 processor – fast L1 memory and low latency main memory. The Athlon 64 at single channel DDR is able to meet the performance of the dual-channel DDR of the nForce2 Athlon XP platform – but still falls behind the synthetic memory numbers of the P4 system on the Canterwood chipset.
