Applications: DivX Conversion and LAME MP3
This test takes an episode of The Simpons and converts it to DivX using XMPEG application and DivX codex. All three Athlon 64 motherboards do very well here in this test, with the Chaintech motherboard falling right in the middle.
This test uses the Lame MP3 encoder to encode an entire CD at 320 kbps. Though the Chaintech board DOES come out the winner here by a full second, I don’t think anyone is running away with anything.
