Intel Motherboards (cont’d)
The Asus board utilizing the 925x chipset with both DDR1 and DDR2 support
As I had not yet actually played with the new LGA775 socket from Intel, I took the chance with this Asus board to do so.
Its a fairly straight-forward installation process, but I can see where wear and tear may take place on the processor or socket. This situation will be interesting to see develop.

ULI chipsets had a solution for PCI Express for both the 775-pin and hte 478-pin Pentium processors. Note that they also have AGP support, but I learned that it travels through the south bridge on the chipset effectively running the AGP at 1x speeds. This will probably be a good solution only for non-gaming situations.
Finally, SIS has their 656 chipset with PCIe and AGP support, done similarly to the ULI chispet.
