Far Cry 1.1 – Dam Demo
This is the demo on Far Cry that actually incorporates some gun fire and explosions as various enemies are attacking each other as the demo walks by and views both up close and from afar. The in-game characters become apparent on the graph below at the big dip you see around the 70 second mark or so.
Though the minimum FPS and the average FPS show an advantage to the ATI cards, the eVGA and NVIDIA cards are relatively close even with 4x8x turned on.
Here we begin to see the same pattern as on the previous tests — NVIDIA doing better on the 0x0x tests and ATI exceling in the 4x8x area.
This resolutuion is probably not playable on these cards at 0x0x and definitely not playable at 4x8x; both are consistenly under the 30 FPS mark on 4x8x though ATI does have a better showing on the 0x0x results.
