System Setup and Benchmarks
The system setup for this review was setup with the specs we used in our 939-pin processor review. This includes the Radeon 9800XT video card and ATA hard drive in order to make the results comparable to most recent, past reviews. Also, as all the current generation of Athlon 64 motherboards will perform nearly identically with the same processor and other components, I decided to just compare the performance of the K8N Neo2 against the NVIDIA reference board to see if MSI was able to get some more performance out of the chipset with the extra time they had.
