Gaming – 3DMark 2001SE, Aquamark 3
3DMark 2001SE
*Asus A7N8X-E memory at 202MHz, rest at 200MHz
Though 3DMark 2001SE only employs DirectX 8 and lower (versus the DirectX 9 games we see today), it still remains a good way of comparing CPU and graphics performance across multiple systems. Unlike 3DMark’03 which tests only the video subsystem, 3DMark 2001SE utilizes the whole system thus giving a more rounded result. Here we see all four systems perform essentially the same. The Asus A7N8X-E is slightly better than the rest probably because of the 202MHz memory clock. All systems would appear to handle games very well.
Aquamark 3
*Asus A7N8X-E memory at 202MHz, rest at 200MHz
Unlike 3DMark 2001SE, Aquamark is a DirectX 9 benchmark and is a slightly better reflection of performance you would see in some newer games today. Again we see all boards performing the same, with a slight edge to the Asus due to it’s default 202MHz memory clock. (I’m sounding like a broken record, aren’t I? 🙂
Great MB. It’s been running
Great MB. It’s been running flawless for 12 years.
Now I’m confronted with 5 “pregnant” Elkos in the vicinity of the CPU. Hope I can find someone, who’s able to replace them.
Good review, too.
Thanx 🙂
