BIOS Features (cont’d)
The Abit EQ menu allows you to set your temperature and fan settings in the BIOS.
Here you can set your temperatures to monitor your shut down temps, beep temps, etc.
You are also able to set shut down and beeps to the voltage monitors as well.
… and also fan speeds.
For the processor, here we are setting individual highs and lows for the fan voltage and temperatures. You can do the same for the north bridge and system fans.
The different memory settings available on this DDR2 memory system are less numerous than we saw in our Abit AV8 BIOS that uses DDR1 memory, but the major settings that affect performance the most are included here.
CAS Latency can be set to as low as 3, though we left it at the SPD setting of 4 for our testing.
And there are the rest of the memory setting options you have on the AA8 DuraMAX motherboard.
