Synthetic: SiSoft Sandra, AIDA32 and Cachemem

SiSoft Sandra 2004

VIA K8T890 - PCI Express Reaches AMD - Chipsets 54

VIA K8T890 - PCI Express Reaches AMD - Chipsets 55

The Sandra scores show little performance difference between the chipsets here as we would expect.  The memory scores are a bit lower on the K8T890 compared to the more refined K8T Neo2 board, but as we mentioned in the Test Setup page, the reference boards are always slower than future retail boards.

AIDA32

VIA K8T890 - PCI Express Reaches AMD - Chipsets 56

AIDA32 shows similar results to the Sandra scores, with both chipsets showing similar scores.  The K8T890 was faster in the writing but a bit slower on the reading.

Cachemem

VIA K8T890 - PCI Express Reaches AMD - Chipsets 57

Again, we see the same results.  Having the memory controller on the processor brings memory performance across chipsets to even levels.
