Synthetic Gaming – 3DMark & Aquamark 3
Despite its falling out of popularity among enthusiasts, I still like 3DMark 2001SE as a general diagnostic tool and a comparative tool in very controlled environments like in our tests. Here we see the Abit KV8 Pro continue its trend of matching the nForce 3 and beating the old nForce 2. This could mean that for games, the Athlon 64 is a better platform compared to the older Socket A.
Here we see all systems performing equally in 3DMark ’05. The latest Futuremark benchmark is better at isolating the performance of the video subsystem rather than the performance of the computer as a whole. It’s not surprising to see these results since all systems used the same video card.
In these synthetic game performance tests, we see that the Abit KV8 Pro performs the same as the Asus running the nForce 3 chipset. This is probably foreshadowing the game tests on the next page.
Too bad now that ABIT gone
Too bad now that ABIT gone out of business there no way of updating the motherboard. damn
