Professional: CineBench 2003, KribiBench and SPECviewperf

CineBench 2003

Intel 3.46EE and 925XE Chipset - 1066 MHz FSB - Processors 51

Intel 3.46EE and 925XE Chipset - 1066 MHz FSB - Processors 52

The 3.46EE is able to grab the fastest rendering time we have seen on the CineBench 2003 test, beating out the previous best of the 3.4EE.  HyperThreading coupled with the larger cache gives Intel the edge over AMD on the rendering test.  The OpenGL tests show improvements as well over the rest of the Intel processors but AMD is able to pull out the wins there with most of their processors we tested.

KribiBench 1.1

Intel 3.46EE and 925XE Chipset - 1066 MHz FSB - Processors 53

Another solid win for the 3.46EE is in this multi-threaded application for software rendering.  Intel is dominating easily on this particular rendering engine.

SPECviewperf 7.1

Intel 3.46EE and 925XE Chipset - 1066 MHz FSB - Processors 54

On our SPECviewperf 7.1 suite, the 3.46EE isn’t able to surpass the Intel 560 scores, but it competes well with AMD’s FX-55 processor and better with the 4000+.  Using PCI Express however we see a different view with the FX-53 (4000+) taking a stronger lead.

Note: we’ll soon be switching to the new SPECviewperf 8.0.1
