Gaming: Quake III and UT2003
The increased memory speed as well as the lowered memory timings show a HUGE gain to the new 3.46EE processor over previous P4 processors and also over the Athlon 64 processors. On both Normal and MAX settings the 3.46EE sees a win — and while 600+ FPS on Q3 is impressive, lets see what more modern games and benchmarks say about the issue.
While the 3.46EE does become the best performing Intel processor on the UT2003 benchmark, it is still behind even the slowest Athlon 64 processor we tested here.
