Application: DivX and MP3 Encoding, WinRAR and PCMark
XMPEG 5.03 and DivX 5.1.1

ATI suffers a big slow down here compared to the other PCIe-based motherboards, though it is as fast as the NF3 chipset is.

The MP3 encoding ability on this chipset isn’t affected as the DivX encoding was above and the new ATI chipset performs as expected.

Again the ATI chipset performs on par with the other AMD chipsets, both AGP and PCIe based.

Once again, the ATI results are pretty typical of the AMD platform, with maybe the exception of the HDD results, which were about 400 points slower than the NVIDIA chipset. I know that NVIDIA has spent a significant amount of time tuning and tweaking their IDE drivers, so ATI probably needs to play catch up here.
