The ATI XPRESS 200 chipset with the discrete X800 XT card falls just behind the NVIDIA and VIA chipsets in the 3D Mark 2001 scores, by less than 5%. Using the integrated graphics we get a default score of 6063, which is significantly behind the other scores, but shows a reasonable score for the graphics core.
The ATI chipset did well in this test as well, coming in just behind the NF4 board, but within a reasonable margin of error. The integrated core is beginning to show its weaknesses as a gaming solution here scoring just over 1500 3DMarks.
All the test setups on this benchmark are using PCI Express graphics, and the new ATI XPRESS 200 chipset shows that is able to keep up with the competition on both the AMD and Intel sides.
