pcp_town01 – Mid-Range Cards

We really have two comparisons to make here on the Mid-Range section of the article.  First, I saw many questions asking if the 6600GT was going to be able to out perform the 6800 card at all.  Also, we of course have the 6600GT vs 9800 Pro AGP debate to settle as well.

We see here that the 6800 card is indeed a better performer than the 6600GT card is.  Comparing the 6600GT to the 9800 Pro we see that their performance is very comparable at 4x/8x settings but without those the 6600GT has a bigger lead.

Once again we come to find the 6600GT moping up with the 9800 Pro on the 0x/0x tests but once the AA and AF are enabled, the 9800 Pro is right there with it, just a bit behind.

The pattern repeats again, though none of the three cards are in their optimal playing resolution really.
