Here we see an example of CPU limited game giving the SLI setup a bit of a knock — in both minimum and maximum frame rate the dual card setup is slower. Of course, gamers who have SLI setups will hardly ever be playing at 1024…




Without AA and AF enabled, the SLI is still almost not noticeable, but with 4xAA and 8xAF, we see a change. The two 6800 Ultras are just over 20% faster than the single card setup, but the minimum FPS still remains lower on the SLI configuration.




And while the minimum FPS on this level still gives an edge to the single GPU test configuration, its hard to argue with the 37% average frame rate gain you are getting at the highest settings.
