Not surprisingly we see both the Chaintech V915P performing the same as the 915P using DDR2 memory since both systems are using the same Intel Pentium 4 560E CPU.

We see some interesting results in SiSoft Sandra’s memory benchmark notably the small difference between the DDR and DDR2 versions of the Intel 915P chipset.

Here we see that latency is not a strong point on the Chaintech V915P, nor is it strong for the 915P chipset in general. Both 915P chipsets show poorly against the Athlon 64 system using the VIA K8T800 Pro chipset, however, this latency does not seem to affect benchmarking and gaming too much (as we will see shortly).

More interesting is the fact that even though the Chaintech V915P shows higher latency compared to the DDR2 version, there is only minimal difference in performance between the two systems. This also goes to show that Latency is not a bad thing if proper techniques are used to minimize its effect.
