XMPEG 5.03 and DivX 5.1.1
On our DivX benchmark, the XMPEG application takes advantage of SSE3 and HyperThreading to give the P4 numbers a boost past those of the Pentium M and the Athlon 64. However, at 2.4 GHz, the P-M falls just below the FX-55 score. On our MP3 encoding test, the overclocked P-M brings in our fastest score! The tables are quite different in our WinZip test though, perhaps showing some disadvantages to the storage subsystem as well.
